Paper Costuming

April 15 Dolly Day on Paper Costuming
Sixteen members turned out for Roberta Russell's Dolly Day on paper costuming.  A good time was had by all as the following pictures demonstrate.  As always, members took the ideas and ran creatively in lots of different directions with fabulous results.

They will bring their completed dolls back for the May meeting's Show and Tell and a chance to win a Member's Choice Award.

Costuming Dolls with Paper

April 15 Dolly Day: Costuming Dolls with Paper
Maki House, Nepean beginning at 9:30 AM to noon followed by our 1:00 meeting.  Please bring your lunch and stay for the day!
At our next Dolly Day we will be learning techniques for costuming dolls using various types of paper.  We will be exploring techniques (what works and what doesn’t) and learning about sources of supplies.
This is a photo of some of the doll costuming we did at last June's Fabri-Licious Retreat.

April 15th Monthly Meeting

Circle your calendar so you won't miss this day long event!  All Dolled Up members will have the opportunity to spend the day at Maki House where we combine a hands on lesson to create 3D paper dolls in the morning and our regular monthly meeting in the afternoon.  If you would like to try this unique technique of costuming a doll in paper then come prepared for a somewhat messy but totally fun class!
Roberta Russell will show us how some amazing paper and glue will transform a simple form into a special art piece.
During our afternoon meeting we can look forward to a Trunk Show by Lisa Corr, a long time member and past president of ADU.  Lisa will be sure to entertain us with a wide variety of dolls she has created over the years.
The choice is yours, come for the day and bring your lunch or join us for a few hours in the morning or afternoon as it's sure to be another inspiring day in the life of ADU.  We begin at 9:00, I hope to see you then!
